Friday I was feeling down. Andre, our rabbits’ pet cat, hadn’t been feeling well. The doctor’s diagnosis was bad; her prognosis, even worse. Not that money really entered into it, but the buns turned their pockets inside out when we found out how much the bad news cost. I needed a pick-me-up.
Flickr to the rescue. One of my favorites, Yara, drew up a really sweet family of monsters (see link below). I couldn’t help but smile every time I looked at them. Inspired, I sharpened my pencil, oiled up my shears, and fired up the Husqvarna. While I don’t believe in copying other peoples’ dreams, you can certainly see the ancestry in them.
As usual, these little sweeties contain the standard materials: recycled wool, cotton, and buttons and hypo-allergenic poly-Dacron fiber fill. If there’s any alteration to the standard recipe, it’s that we really poured on the good vibes. So far, it’s worked; Andre is improving. It’s slow, but it is improvement.
